Didn't work for me. I don't even have a facebook account, still can't get calendar to sync. Facebook is not listed in the CICAL, only my two email addresses. Do I need to completely eradicate facebook? I've also heard the new BB messenger screws up the calendar sync. Do I need to downgrade BB messenger? I need this function back!!

My cable, phone and INEt were out until 11:30 (almost 6 hours)last night because Mediacom is too cheap to have someone on standby for outages. Called the customer service # and they weren't even acccepting calls from here...too many customers complaining. Horrible customer service from them. Horrible cable company Mediacom! This is afterr I waited 4 months after initial hook up for them to improve my signal beause there were problems in the infrustructure in my area. Sounds like a pattern?

I'd have to agree with you for the most part. However, I think that sitemaps are pretty important when starting a brand new site but as your site starts getting indexed by Google over time, they become less and less important. If Google wasn't interested in sitemaps at all, they wouldn't ask for them within Google Webmaster Tools, so that shows that Google does prefer to see a sitemap at every site - and as most SEO's know, you gotta play by Google's rules!

Excellent post. There will, however, always be people who want to believe in 'secrets'. It's the same with every subject you can think of. Not only internet marketing.. think of weight loss products ('fat burners') and so forth. Anybody who has any brains whatsoever knows that there are no secrets at all. It always comes down to very basic rules, the fundamental principles of the universe. Like persistent work, to name one. I'm a business owner, bodybuilder, extreme sports athlete and a lot more - and it's the same everywhere. You can always sell people 'get rich yesterday' and 'lose 100lbs at the speed of light' products. It's easy to use the weakness of sheep. It will always work like that.

Often the default calendar is only part of the problem. If you have multiple CICAL calendars this can get things mixed up too. On the Blackberry go to: 'Options' > 'Advanced Options' > 'Service Books' and then remove all but one [CICAL] entry. Sometimes even then, with only one calendar left the Blackberry has it's own device default too, and you have to remove ALL of the [CICAL] entries. Then it will work. JUST delete the [CICAL] entries, leave everything else alone, they aren't related to the problem."

This procedure worked for me.... thankfully before I beat my phone. Thanks to both ideas.

This did not work for me as my comcast email was the default and the gmail one was not there. I am at a loss as to why the Calendar sync keeps deleting everything older than 30 days. I have done the obvious by keeping just the comcast CIGAL, setting the Calendar sync for 'all scheduled events' on Desktop Manager.... Please help!

Since my blackberry bold was connected to the office calendar (bes), i can no longer sync my blackberry with my home computer/outlook. i tried syncing my home computer to my blackberry using google sync but then my personal appointments sync all the way through to my calendar at work, which is not acceptable. how can i get my home and work calendars separate and yet both showing up on my blackberry?

I saw another post in a different forum that suggested getting rid of all the CICAL entries under the advanced options>Service Books. That worked for me but I now only have the default calendar (no facebook/gmail etc.) I don't care--it worked and I never used the other canledars anyway.
