However most of the spam I get comes from a California based company via email saying how they can improve my rankings. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I replied 23 times (by the way the emails were from different people all from the same company) and eventually someone replied. He was not happy to find out I do SEO for myself. If they had bothered to check, instead of just using lists we could have saved each other a lot of time.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My response now is to attack their main term (will do this later in the week) and show them how to do it properly!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The other bug I hate is when they call to say Google only shows you as having 5 links; if they know anything about SEO, they will know Google do not display the full number of links.
