Well if you missed it, I completed a 28-day motorcycle ride up to Alaska and back. That would be from Southern California that is.

I took my Toshiba netbook with me and tried to get some work done along the way. For an affiliate marketer and blogger, I suppose I'm never totally on vacation. And considering I was going to be away for that long, it's hard to leave my business for that long too.

Since it's a motorcycle trip, I covered it ad nauseum on my motorcycle blog, which you can read all the articles under "Alaska Ride 2010"

So does that make it a business trip, if I covered the entire trip in detail on one of my website properties? Technically, yes. But you have to figure out if the entire trip is for business reasons, or for pleasure.

Actually, this trip was for pleasure, but I opted to make it for business as well, wanting to capture Google search traffic for stuff like "alaska motorcycle ride".

I mean, there are other motorcycle websites much larger and popular than mine who employ people specifically to ride motorcycles around the country and write reviews of the motorcycles they ride, the gear they wear, and the places they visit. So why can't I?  ✓
