Traffic is down to many of my genealogy websites. I suppose folks may be more interested in Christmas shopping right now, than tracing their family history.

But on the other hand, traffic to my weblogs are going up. DoggieNews is up, GenealogyAndHow is up, PoliticalDogs is up, Menifee247 is up.

There's talk that Google and Yahoo have released new indexes, this time punishing many websites even harsher. How do they determine the criteria for punishment? No one really knows, but the search engines. Some are saying that sites with affiliate links are getting punished. The way things are looking with many of my genealogy sites, it could be true.

January is usually kind. Come on January, get here fast!
