In Your Web is my blog about the business of the Internet.
I'm a home-based blogger, affiliate marketer, and publisher. All of my work is run through my company, Clear Digital Media, Inc., which my wife and I operate.
I've been in this line of work since 1997.
I'm one of those top 1% of affiliate marketers that found enough success to quit my regular job, and do this full time from my house and live the American Dream 2.0.
In Your Web is not necessarily going to teach you to be a successful affiliate marketer, rather I want it to help you become more smart.
There are so many other gurus out there promising to make you rich and wealthy if you buy their book, attend their seminar, or subscribe to their website. It turns out their only true talent is taking your money.
The way I see it, if you're truly successful as an affiliate marketer, you don't need to run around the country speaking at seminars, hawking your books and CDs. You'd instead spend more time with your family and friends, take vacations, and live a life of retirement at a young age. That's the goal of all affiliate publishers.
I've been in this industry longer than most people have even heard of affiliate marketing. I've met people who got suckered into spending money on those so called "gurus", and yet they are still holding down day jobs, and nowhere close to quitting them. Obviously if something sounds too good to be true, it is.

So anyways, I hope that In Your Web will paint a different picture for you, and put your mind into the proper perspective for affiliate marketing.
More About Me
I've been a fan of computers since 1979 when my step-father brought home a Heathkit "build-it-yourself" home computer. In 1981 my parents bought me a Radio Shack Color Computer. In high school, my best friend and I would go online with a 300 baud modem and browse electronic bulletin boards (BBS). We even launched one of our own, and got to meet other system operators (SysOps). We were like the computer geeks in the movie "War Games".
In the late 1980s and early 1990s I was spending my time with such online services as CompuServe, GEnie, and Delphi. I first ventured on to the Internet in 1995 and in 1996 built my first website.
I got started in this professionally in March of 1997, when I launched Interment.net, my first venture to publish something useful, lasting, and meaningful. From that time on, I've learned about design, building traffic, search engine optimization, affiliate marketing, advertising, and the whole business of Internet publishing.
For several years, I moonlighted between running my websites, and working a "day job". I'd wake up in early in the morning, rush out to work, come back home, and then stay up until midnight working on my website.
In 2003, I quit my day job and went full time with affiliate marketing and website publishing. I worked out of my home, became my own boss, and said goodbye to long commutes. In 2005 I incorporated my business as Clear Digital Media, Inc. Today, I still spend time working on my websites, but my wife and I spend more time vacationing and enjoying life together.
I also love riding my motorcycles. I have a 2004 Yamaha Road Star and a 2006 Honda ST1300. You can find me riding along the highways of Southern California with the HeatWave Riding Club, and follow my thoughts on Motorcycle Philosophy.
I spent most of my life in California, living in Vallejo, San Diego, Santa Ana, Lake Forest, and Menifee. I studied music at Santa Ana College.
Oh, and I also love beef jerky.
